The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Pre-Entry Test (PET)โ2025 for admission into the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course for the academic session 2025โ2027.

- Date of PET 2025: 13th July 2025 (Sunday)
- Result Declaration: 28th July 2025
๐ฏ Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)).
- Age should be between 18 and 34 years as on 1st July 2025 (upper age relaxation of 2 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)).

- Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 hours
- Sections:
- Section I: General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning (35 Marks)
- Section II: Mathematics, Science & EVS, Social Science, Language (65 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer

- Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
- The course is offered through DIETs, CTEs, BTCs, Normal Schools, and Private TEIs across all districts in Assam.
- Total Intake Capacity: 4150 seats
- Reservation: 30% for Science stream, 70% for Arts & other streams. Other reservations as per Government norms.
